FAQ

Answers to the most common questions.

Is Itirdim.az free?

Yes, completely free. Posting a lost or found item, searching, and contacting the owner all cost nothing. Optional paid options to promote a listing may be added later, but the core service will always stay free.

Will my phone number or personal details be visible?

No. Your phone number is never shown publicly — all communication goes through the anonymous in-app chat. A number can only appear on a listing you personally chose to share it on, and nowhere else.

What is the “secret detail” and why does it matter?

It's a small detail about the item that only the true owner would know — a scratch on the back, what's inside, or an engraving. It's kept private and helps verify ownership before handover, so the item doesn't go to the wrong person.

Is a reward required?

No, a reward is entirely optional and set only by the person who posts the listing. Listings without a reward get just as much attention — it's simply a way to say thank you.

Someone is asking for an upfront payment or “deposit” — what should I do?

Never transfer money in advance — this is the most common scam. Collect the item only in a safe, busy place — a police station, bank, or ASAN center — in person. If this happens, report the user with the “Report” button in the chat.

Which cities and languages do you support?

The platform covers all of Azerbaijan — Baku, major cities, and regions. The interface is available in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English; you can switch language from the menu at the top.

How does Itirdim.az work?

It's simple: if you've lost or found something, you post a listing in a few steps. An interested person messages you in the anonymous chat, ownership is verified via the “secret detail,” and then you meet in a safe place to hand the item over.

How do I edit or delete my listing?

Sign in and open your Account. Under “My listings,” you can edit each listing, mark it resolved, or delete it entirely.

What are “Matches”?

The system automatically compares lost and found listings. If a listing that might match yours is found, it appears in your “Matches” section so you can recover your item faster.
