1. Operator (data controller)

2. Data we collect

Depending on the Platform features you use, we collect the following data:

• Account data: your email address. Sign-in is via your Google account or email + password. If you set a password, it is stored only in hashed form — never in plaintext.
• Listing data: a description of the lost or found item, photos, category, approximate location (district/area), and — only if you choose to make it public for that specific listing — your phone number.
• Communication data: messages you send to other users in the in-app chat, and support requests.
• Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, actions on the site, and cookie data.

Please do not publish third parties’ personal data without their consent — this may create liability for both you and us.

3. Legal basis for processing

We process your personal data only on the following grounds:

• your consent (given at registration and when posting a listing);
• performance of the terms of use — to provide the service to you;
• our legal obligations — lawful requests from competent public authorities.

You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section 8).

4. Purposes of processing

We process the data we collect for the following purposes:

• to create and manage your account;
• to publish your listings and make them visible to other users;
• to connect users with each other (a lost item and its owner);
• to provide support and respond to requests;
• to prevent fraud, abuse, and unlawful content;
• to improve the Platform and meet our legal obligations.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. Contact is by default through the anonymous in-app chat — your phone number is hidden by default and is shown only if you choose to publish it for a specific listing. Your e-mail address is never shown to other users. Data may be shared only in the following cases:

• With other users: a listing shows only the contact details (e.g. a phone number) you yourself chose to make public for that listing. You decide what to share.
• With service providers: to run the Platform we use hosting, database, file storage, and Google sign-in services (Vercel Inc. for frontend hosting; Google LLC for Google account sign-in; respective providers for the database and image storage). These providers process data only on our instructions.
• With competent public authorities: only in the cases and manner provided by law.

6. International data transfer

The servers of some service providers used by the Platform (hosting, database) may be located outside the Republic of Azerbaijan. This means your data may be processed and stored on servers abroad. By using the Platform, you consent to such transfer. For such transfers we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the data.

7. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this Policy. When you delete your account or withdraw consent, your data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

8. Your rights

Under the applicable law, you have the following rights:

• to learn what data about you is held;
• to request correction of incorrect or outdated data;
• to request deletion of your data;
• to withdraw the consent you have given;
• to object to the processing of your data.

9. Cookies

The Platform uses technical cookies for the correct operation of the site, keeping your session, and remembering your language. You can restrict or disable cookies in your browser settings, but this may affect how some features work.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access. Nevertheless, it is technically impossible to guarantee the 100% security of any data transmitted over the internet.

11. Minors

The Platform is not intended for persons under 18. We ask persons under 18 not to use the Platform without the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

12. Changes

We may amend this Policy. If we do, we publish the updated version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. We may provide additional notice of significant changes.
